The Lives of Others

The Lives of Others delivers by pulling at your emotions. The early 1980s east berlin setting is brought to the forefront, where actors and actress who lived through these challenging times deliver masterful performances. In paticular, Friedrich Hans Ulrich Mühe was fantastic. The fact that Mühe discovered that he himself was previously watched by Stasi emphasizes the recency of the frieghtening events portrayed within the film. I would highly recomend this film to everyone.
